Wandering among the adorable city of Bruges is a favorite memory of mine; it’s dotted with family-owned chocolatiers, quaint eateries and old-school European buildings.

The cobblestone streets frame the idylic town square and the eleventh century Belfort Belfry that played a pivotal role in the film In Bruges.

For such a small town, it’s cultural breadth is impressive; it contains 30 museums, from history to beer to chocolate-making. Off the Market Square is the Holy Blood Basillica, a gothic church that safegaurds a vial of Christ’s blood.

Enjoy the pictueresque river that winds through the town and all of the little details that make Bruges feel like stepping into a fairytale. If you ever get the chance, I highly advise visiting for a few days.
