Travel Tuesday: Cambodian Museum

I realize that most of my posts have been about Cambodia lately. What can I say? It’s a truly unique place, and I miss it.

During our stay in Cambodia, we discovered numerous diamonds in the rough – and this museum is one of them. This little gem was tucked away on a blocked-off street, and looked in impressive and drab from the outside.

However, a few steps through the gate and a $2 entrance fee later, we knew we’d discovered something spectacular.

The museum frames a picturesque Buddhist courtyard, and is riddles with sculptures, trinkets and artifacts impressive for its small size. To some of our groups’ dismay, I happily wandered around this place for hours – and could’ve for much longer.
