Travel Tuesday: Belgian Countryside

Oh, Belgium. Venturing outside the bustling city of Brussels and into the countryside is like stepping into a fairy tale.

I absolutely loved traveling around Belgium last summer. So much that I still think/dream about it, and am dying to go back as soon as I can. It’s so quiet, peaceful, and picturesque. I’m not much of a city girl, so I basked in the slow pace and friendly conversation the country and its people had to offer.

I mostly stayed in Bruges, but we did rent some bikes and travel as deep into the neighboring towns as our legs could take us. These are just a few snapshots of the cottages and windmills and rolling green hills that characterize Belgium’s beautiful countryside.

I can’t wait to go back. I have to go back. As soon as I possibly can.

Happy Travels,

Nikki
