Travel Tuesday: Verona, Italy

IMG_4854

I posted a while ago ranting about how much I disliked Verona. To be fair, at the time I was hot, tired, and exhausted from pushing through Disneyland-type crowds to find Juliette’s house. Which (most likely given the uber-touristy crowd) didn’t even feel as romantic as I expected.

Even my cousin, shiny little optimist that she is, was far from fond of this Italian town.

Looking through the pictures, though, I remember how beautiful it was. Stunning architecture, bright colors, and open courtyards flanked by gorgeous brickwork-adorned buildings. Romantic columns, beautiful fountains, and lively piazzas.

We both loved Verona before we found where all the tourists were at. My favorite was this lovely little cemetery, which we had been told by several people to check out.
