My dad and I will be running out first marathon in three.freaking.days. After months of training, I’m shocked that the day is finally almost here! I can’t wait to get it over with. I really can’t wait to eat after.

I love running, but training for a marathon but our relationship to the test. My ankle is swollen, my feet are totally torn up (no more pedicures for me!) and my body aches from my muscles down to the bone. I’m tired. I feel like I’m always sleeping. 

Yet, somehow, I’m loving it.

I love how strong I’ve become mentally, physically and emotionally. I love the changes in my body.

And I truly can’t wait to cross the finish line with my dad by my side.
